چیچہ وطنی کے علاقے محلہ گئوشالہ میں پیش آنے والے ایک افسوسناک اور لرزہ خیز واقعے نے پورے علاقے کو ہلا کر رکھ دیا، جہاں ایک خاتون پر اپنے مبینہ دوست کے ساتھ مل کر شوہر کو زہر دے کر قتل کرنے کا الزام عائد کیا گیا ہے۔ پولیس نے بروقت کارروائی کرتے ہوئے ملزمہ اور اس کے دوست کو گرفتار کر لیا ہے۔
پولیس ذرائع کے مطابق، مقتول ابرار اسلم کا تعلق محلہ گئوشالہ چیچہ وطنی سے تھا، جن کی شادی تقریباً دو سال قبل رحیم یار خان کی رہائشی زیب اکمل سے ہوئی تھی۔ بتایا گیا ہے کہ شادی کے بعد بھی زیب اکمل کے احسان اجمل نامی شخص سے قریبی تعلقات برقرار رہے، جس پر مقتول کو شبہ تھا۔
پولیس کا کہنا ہے کہ 6 جنوری کی رات، کھانے کے بعد زیب اکمل نے مبینہ طور پر شوہر کو زہر ملا سافٹ ڈرنک پلایا، جس کے فوراً بعد ابرار اسلم کی طبیعت شدید خراب ہو گئی۔ اہل خانہ نے انہیں فوری طور پر تحصیل ہیڈ کوارٹر ہسپتال چیچہ وطنی منتقل کیا، تاہم وہ جانبر نہ ہو سکے۔ ڈاکٹروں نے ابتدائی معائنے میں ہی زہر خورانی کا شبہ ظاہر کیا تھا۔
ابتدا میں اہل خانہ نے واقعے کو قدرتی موت سمجھتے ہوئے پولیس سے رجوع نہیں کیا، تاہم تدفین سے قبل غسل کے دوران جسم پر مشکوک علامات ظاہر ہوئیں، جس پر معاملہ مشتبہ ہو گیا۔ بعد ازاں اہل خانہ نے زیب اکمل اور اس کے والد محمد اکمل سے پوچھ گچھ کی، جو جنازے میں شرکت کے لیے رحیم یار خان سے آئے ہوئے تھے۔
ذرائع کے مطابق، دورانِ پوچھ گچھ زیب اکمل نے مبینہ طور پر اپنے جرم کا اعتراف کر لیا، جس کے بعد پولیس کو اطلاع دی گئی۔
پولیس نے مقتول کے بڑے بھائی بلال اسلم کی مدعیت میں مقدمہ درج کرتے ہوئے مرکزی ملزمہ زیب اکمل اور اس کے دوست احسان اجمل کو گرفتار کر لیا ہے، جبکہ مقدمے میں ایک نامعلوم سہولت کار کو بھی نامزد کیا گیا ہے جس کی تلاش جاری ہے۔
پولیس حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ واقعے کی مزید تحقیقات جاری ہیں اور تمام پہلوؤں کا باریک بینی سے جائزہ لیا جا رہا ہے تاکہ انصاف کے تقاضے پورے کیے جا سکیں۔
